1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites send to the user's terminal, where they are stored to be re-sent to the same sites on subsequent visits. Similar technologies (such as web beacons, tracking pixels, local storage identifiers) may be used to collect information about user behaviour or service usage.
2. Types of cookies used
2.1 Technical cookies (always active)
Necessary for the proper functioning of the site and to save user preferences. They do not require consent under art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code.
| Cookie | Purpose · Duration |
|---|---|
| villanti_consent | Stores cookie consent preferences · 6 months |
| villanti_lang | Stores the chosen language (IT/EN) · 12 months |
| villanti_lang_prompted | Prevents the language-switch suggestion from being shown again · 12 months |
2.2 Third-party cookies
The site loads third-party resources to improve the user experience. These resources may install cookies and collect browsing data. They are activated only after the user has given consent through the cookie banner.
| Service | Provider · Purpose · Privacy policy |
|---|---|
| Google Fonts |
Google Ireland Ltd. · Loading of typographic fonts (Cormorant Garamond, Inter). May log the IP address to provide the service. Google Privacy Policy |
| Google Maps |
Google Ireland Ltd. · Display of the interactive map on the Contact page. Installs statistical and profiling cookies. Google Privacy Policy |
The Controller does not currently use its own profiling cookies or analytics services (e.g. Google Analytics). If such services are activated in the future, this notice will be updated and prior consent will be requested.
3. How to manage preferences
On the first visit to the site, a banner is shown allowing the user to:
- Accept all cookies
- Reject all non-strictly-necessary cookies
- Manage preferences by category
You can change your choice at any time by clicking the "" link or via the link at the bottom of this page.
Cookies can also be managed directly from your browser:
4. Consequences of refusal
Refusing technical cookies is not technically possible, as they are necessary for the site to function. Refusing third-party cookies means:
- Typographic fonts will be replaced by system fonts
- The Google Map on the Contact page will not load; in its place, a placeholder will be shown with the option to open the map externally
Refusal does not affect the ability to browse the site nor to send requests through the contact form.
5. Regulatory references
EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Privacy Code), Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy), Italian DPA Guidelines on the use of cookies.
6. Updates
This Cookie Policy may be updated. The last update date is shown at the top of the document.
